Russian experts inspect 2 US spy planes downed over Iran: general

MehrNews, the mouthpiece of the Islamic government of Iran reports:

The Commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force, Amir Ali Hajizadeh, announced on Tuesday that Russian experts have inspected two U.S. spy planes which were shot down in Iran early this year.

Hajizadeh said Russian experts had requested Iran to inspect the places where the planes were shot down.

“A Russian expert delegation has recently inspected the crashed U.S. spy airplanes,” Hajizadeh told reporters.

Asked if any other foreign spy planes have been downed in Iran, he said, “So far, except two U.S. spy planes, which were brought down in Iran’s air space, we have not detected any other spy aircraft.

In January, Hajizadeh announced that the Iranian military forces had downed two foreign spy planes over the Persian Gulf.
