According to FarsNews Agency, the mouthpiece of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards, Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari, the chief commander of the guards, stressed the Iranian Armed Forces’ high level of preparedness to defend the country against all types of threats and aggressions posed by enemies against Iran.
Addressing the troops participating in the IRGC military exercises underway in Khaf general zone, East of Iran, Jafari said that the wargames demonstrate the IRGC and Basij (volunteer) forces’ strong determination and will to defend the country.
He added that the wargames also show that “we are always ready to confront any threat and aggression even if it just crosses the enemy’s mind”.
As regards the IRGC wargames, codenamed “Shohaday-e Vahdat (Martyrs of Unity)”, the commander said that the drills are an exercise of asymmetric combat tactics for blocking enemies’ infiltration in vital and pivotal areas.
The officials of the Islamic regime and commanders have warned that any enemy move, even the slightest aggressions, against the Islamic Republic would be reciprocated with a destructive response and will endanger the interests of the aggressor all around the world.
On November 10, Ayatollah Khamenei warned enemies about Iran’s tough response to any aggression or even threat, stressing that the country would respond with full force to any attack.
“Iran is not a nation to sit still and just observe threats from fragile materialist powers which are being eaten by worms from inside,” Ayatollah Khamenei told students at a Tehran military college.
“Anyone who harbors any thought of invading the Islamic Republic of Iran – or even if the thought crosses their mind – should be prepared to receive strong blows and the steel fists of the military, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), and the Basij (volunteer) force, backed by the entire Iranian nation,” he said.
“Iran will respond with full force to any aggression or even threats in a way that will demolish the aggressors from within,” he added.
Despite the rhetoric from radicals ruling Iran, there are many fractions within the regime. The most important though is the serious split within Iran’s powerful Revolutionary Guard. For more read the following:
