Iran’s Revolutionary Guards to Practice closing Hormuz Strait

According to MehrNews, the mouthpiece of the Islamic regime in Iran, The member of Iran’s Majlis (parliament) National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Esmaeil Kowsari, has said that the naval wargames, which will be staged by the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Naval Force in late January, are meant to enhance armed forces’ capabilities so that they can close the Strait of Hormuz in the shortest time possible when the situation requires it.

The IRGC plans to practice its ability to close the Strait of Hormuz during the naval maneuvers, which will begin on January 27 in the Persian Gulf.
