In his Tuesday, September 28th conference with the high-ranking Friday prayer leaders from across Iran, Ahdmadinejad boasted: “Those characters who want to impose sanctions, think they can pull off some kind of a psychological war on us and break our state spirit; of course now they are remorseful. When I was in America, I told them that their sanctions mean nothing and that they can’t do a damn thing. Today our leadership is resistant and our aware of the plague that is spread by those expansionist overlords; they are however rapidly being depleted and they will be brought down, which will be a game-changer. There was a time where no one dared to make one negative comment against the very existence of America but today, the Islamic Republic has managed to defy America from within and there is nothing they can do about it.”
Referring to his trip to New York and his various interviews with international media he added: “During this trip, I clearly stated that they’ve opened their big mouths and closed their tiny ears enough over the last 100 years but now, the time has come to cut their tongues off and force their ears open. The interview that we (referring to himself as we) conducted with American media was actually a serious battle. But of course American leaders kept talking where in all reality, there isn’t a single free media outlet in America. The conditions around the world are ripe for supporting our Islamic Revolutionary ideals and the messianic rule is close at hand.”
